Set up your domain
Connect a domain you control and verify it before creating mailboxes or sending email.
Add the domain
Add the domain in Console and confirm that you control its DNS. Use the exact domain name without a protocol, path, or mailbox address.
DNS verification
Copy the exact DNS records shown in Console into your DNS provider. Do not reuse values from another domain or deployment. Keep existing records that authorise other legitimate mail services unless Console explicitly says they conflict.
Wait for propagation
Save the records, wait a few minutes, and check DNS again in Console. Some providers may take up to 48 hours. Compare the detected and expected values when a check fails.
After verification
When the required checks pass, enable the domain and create mailboxes, aliases, inbound routes, or sender identities as needed. Return to Console whenever a signing record changes so the current record can be verified.
